An Italian release of early Consort of Musicke live recordings, featuring various aspects of the 16th-century Italian madrigal. The Selva di varia ricreatione is a cycle of varied pieces with light and pastoral themes for courtly entertainments, and the other madrigals are by some of Vecchi's renowned contemporaries.
