Comments:
Information from owned CD.
These are polyphonic chants with a religious content which are sung from midnight until dawn; such chants form are part of the repertory at the heart of the Hermandades de Auroros, an association of man drawn together under the patronage of Our Lady of the Dawn. These polyphonic chants probably originate in the late middle ages. Content is not limited to christian tradition, but includes similar chant from the mediterannean sephardic heritage
