Peter Philips (c.1560-1628) was one of the finest English
composers of the era, in all the genres of the time. He spent most
of his career on the Continent for religious reasons. This
performance includes all of Philips' most famous pieces (the Pavan
& Galliard pairs and the Fantasia) as well as many of the song
& motet settings.
