to the manuscripts of the Bodleian Library, Oxford. The present
manuscript is known as MS. Canon. Misc. 213, containing 245
pieces not found anywhere else, especially early 15th century French
songs. It contains 235 French chansons amongst its 326 entries.
Completed sometime before 1436 and after c.1425, the manuscript
gives a unique look at Dufay's earliest songs, plus those of his
contemporaries.
