These two masses are among the most famous ever written, as well as being two of Dufay's earliest. The Missa Se la face ay pale is the first known cantus firmus mass based on a secular tune, while the Missa Sancti Jacobi is one of the short-lived mass setting techniques to set both the Propers and Ordinary together.
The music was originally issued on LPs: Lyrichord 7274 & Lyrichord 7275
