This excellent recording is a liturgical reconstruction of the
celebration for the coronation of Doge Marino Grimani in 1595.
Most of the music is by Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli, both organists
at St. Marks in Venice. This recording probably offers the best
introduction to the concerted music of the Gabrieli's.
