Changes is perhaps Tenney's most singular cycle, and
certainly his longest.  The present production required considerable
preparation, but ends up being executed with incredible precision
& elegance.  (It ended up being recorded over 3 consecutive
days.)
This strange, but generally pleasant, music can function as a
sort of ambient background music (akin to that of e.g.
Feldman), but also rewards more
concentrated listening.  It basically explores a melodic-harmonic
world of 72 notes to an octave, arranged in a series of studies.
