Oh Goddess Shankari, the enchanting companion of Goddess Sarasvati, protect me. You are the eternal wave of bliss, oh Gauri.
You, the lotus-eyed one, the ever-present companion of Sadashiva, bestow on me your benign glance. Oh Kamakshi, sister of Vishnu the vanquisher of Mura, please protect me. You are the supreme Kaumari, who gave the ability to speak to the dumb mute Muka Kavi, oh bestower of happiness.
You are of the form of mystic letters, and hold a sugar cane bow representing the inner self. You shine as the supreme non-dual knowledge. You are the lustrous supreme Tripurasundari, who illuminates this manifested universe. The mother of the renowned Guruguha, you hold the noose in your hands, oh Pashini. You sustain this illusory world containing diverse forms of life. You reside in the victorious city of Kanchi.
