Oh Goddess Rajamatangi, you who sport in Madhura, please protect me.
She who is protector of the people of simple faith, the bewitching companion of Lord Shiva, who burnt down Cupid, she pervades the universe as the named and formed beings, and is the consort of the cosmic dancer, Lord Nataraja. She is the mother of the universe.
Her two lotus feet are worshipped by the King Pandya. She resides in the form of all Kalas in the Odyana Pitha. She is fond of Patali trumpet flowers, lustrous as a ruby. She is the beloved one of Somadundareshvara, and the mother of Guruguha.
