Recording dates: 1990-93
This recording was quite amazing when it appeared, but with the
appearance of more dedicated recitals, it loses some of its impact.
However, it does remain worthwhile and can make for quite a striking
introduction to this relatively unknown music.
The next Ocora anthology is the following, devoted to singers
of the previous generation:
- Ouzbekistan
- Les Grandes voix du passé (1940-1965)
