This is a classic recording, with a compelling depth. Although
the sonorities used might not meet with our present expectations,
this disc is more than worthwhile based on what it brought to this
repertory as well as its classic stature. Although there are many
instruments listed, accompaniment is always fairly discreet.
Many of the most famous items in the repertory are presented
here.
Another classic program, with a grittier and more "ethnic"
presentation:
- Troubadours / Cantigas de Santa Maria
- Clemencic Consort - René Clemencic
Harmonia Mundi 2901524/7 (4 CDs)
Finally, other recordings by Gérard Le Vot:
- Ultima Lacrima
- Chants spirituels du Moyen Age, IXe-XIIIe siècles

- Incantation - The Harp and the Swan
